March 29, 2011-Fresh Start

Hello "everyone"

Here we have a fresh start, instead of making a brand new blog I just deleted all my old posts. I want to start over and make it far more organized. I've been doing that a lot lately with life in general.Trying to clear away the junk and keep only what is necessary. I guess that's all part of my intuitive sense of spring cleaning?
After all it is almost April, you'd think the snow would be gone by now. Spring wants to be here but it's holding back. I can't wait for everything summer brings. When I'm older I should really move somewhere where it doesn't snow. Florida here I come?

Haha. I should really focus on moving out of the house rather than biting off more than I can chew and moving to a whole new country.

Come September I will be starting University. Where you may ask? Not a clue.

I've been accepted to Guelph, I am waiting to here back from York, and I am anxiously awaiting my audition for Ryerson University. (Bites nails). My top choice.

Ryerson University:

Location: Downtown Toronto.
Program: Performance- Acting
Acceptance Rating: a whopping 7 %.
27 out of 700 students are chosen. 27 out of 700 students manage to stand apart from all the rest.
I will be 1 of the 700 students shaking in my boots offering tough theatre critics (disguised as friendly university profs) what I've got. What do I got? Two prepared monologues and a play presentation, just like every other student of the 700.

So lets talk about what sets me apart. ( note some of this is a way of self assurance to myself)
I have that X factor.
I have that passion.
I have that glint in my eye that says you have to have me, you can't work without me.
I have that air about me that says, I am not just some girl, I will never be just some girl, I will always be more than just a girl, and I will stick in your brain whether you want me to or not.
I have that ability to be laid back but professional.
I make what I do fun for everyone involved.
I'm diverse, I'm willing to work with anyone, doing anything, for any production.
I am willing to learn.

Mindtools.com tells me: It takes just a quick glance, maybe three seconds, for someone to evaluate you when you meet for the first time. In this short time, the other person forms an opinion about you based on your appearance, your body language, your demeanor, your mannerisms, and how you are dressed.

Question: Given three seconds, do I show a person all of the above? In just three seconds, does my appearance say, accept me?
I don't know.
I know that right off the hop when I open my mouth to say my words that are supposed to convince them that this face belongs in Ryerson University's Alumni Picture Board, I've gotta ooze confidence.

No BIG Deal. Right?

ha. Right.
